Homer Simpson once said “You don’t win friends with salad”. Well that was 1995 and it turns out in 2026 salads is where it’s at.

Now obviously we’re Pizza Pilgrims not Salad Pilgrims but one thing we wanted to do this year with our menu was bring a little more of that “Mediterranean diet” into the mix. So we’ve got 3 spanking new side salads, a support act to your pizza if you will, to bring a little Blue Zone zip to the table.

Salads. Proper ones.

The first is a riff on the undefeated World Champion of Med salads - The Greek salad. We’ve very wittily called it the Napoli Salad and It’s everything you’d want but we’ve switched out the tomatoes for Piennolo di Vesuvio DOP tomatoes and instead of feta we’re using ricotta salt crumbled over the top. Its only a subtle twist but it works a treat!

Next up is the Cavalo Nero Caesar. We knew we needed a caesar but we wanted an Italian twist. We’ve switched out lettuce for raw sliced Cavalo Nero (I know but trust us - crisp and fresh) and for the dressing we’ve kept it pretty classic but used our amazing Amalfi Cetaran anchovies DOP. All topped with deep fried panko for CRUUUUNCH. 

And last but not least - The Italian bean salad. We all know beans are the superfood final boss of 2026. This salad is inspired by Domenico (our head of Pizza) and his childhood picnics on the beach in Napoli. His mum would bring a big Tupperware of bean salad with Cannellini beans, red onion, tomatoes, basil olive oil and red wine vinegar. Juicy, tangy SO GOOD FOR YOU!
