Turns out, hospo teams don’t just serve up great food — they’ve got a decent left foot too. On April 1st, we went head-to-head with squads from across the industry for a football tournament like no other… all in support of a brilliant cause.
On the 1st April, while you lot were busy pulling pranks, we laced up our boots and joined something truly special — a charity 5-a-side football tournament organised by our good friends at Lucky Saint.
It was a cracking day of goals, good vibes, and great causes — with hospitality teams from all over London getting stuck in. Restaurants, bars and pubs came together to raise money for two brilliant charities: Only A Pavement Away and Licensed Trade Charity.
We were proud to field our very own Pizza Pilgrims team with a glorious mix of players from across the bizz: Head Chefs, our Food Team, GMs, Finance gurus, Ops and more.
Huge thanks to our brilliant partners Caputo Flour, San Solania, and Casa Julia, who not only keep our pizzerias stocked with the finest ingredients, but also kindly supported the cause with donations. True team players!
We came for the cause. We stayed for the camaraderie. We left with sore legs and full hearts. And yes... we’re already planning tactics for next year.
